I can see potential in this, it needs a lot of polishing, especially with how frequent I get stuck in holes, trees, and it softlocks my game and needs to be reloaded, other times when I die, the Load button doesn't work and I have to go to the main menu first - the framerate would be nice if I could control and limit the maximum in the options, the brightness in areas is either nice and lit, or extremely dark when facing the opposite direction of the sun. Otherwise, I have to get further for when things clearly, probably get more tense - I like the 'Secrets' having Stat-boost capabilities like a little mini RPG mechanic, makes me want to hunt them all down to see the benefits.
Lastly, I deeply question why a tiny little skittish creature known as a Red Fox, whom often weigh around 10-20lbs, is placed in the game and capable of killing you, let alone it attacks and bites your ankles to death with similar ferocity of a hungry Crocodile - I deeply question this decision, why a Fox?? They're so skittish and don't attack humans lol. Otherwise, here is my gameplay as I delve deeper into it.
I watched the video and I like it. Yes the settings sometimes does not catch up in the game menu (but should work in the game). You get into gameplay pretty fast. You miss the cabin door journal entry at the beginning so it got really hard (and dark) for you. Also feel free to contact me if you have any questions about the game.
I've never got stuck into a tree, but I can imagine how frustrating it can be, but I fixed the hole above the cave (some collision issues so I regenerate it)
Unfortunately I was not able to reproduce the death/load issue...
The game is using auto-exposure aka eye adaptation to simulate bright/dark environment changes. There is nothing I can do about it without breaking some of the game mechanics. I hope the flashlight will help you.
Lets talk about the foxes :D. The foxes in the area I live in are pretty sneaky beasts. Even the dogs are afraid of them (but as you might discover not all of them are hostile).
I go back to the cabin and 'figure it out' in the 2nd Part which'll come tomorrow. Maybe the Death/load issue is frame-rate related? I have a 240hz monitor and maybe it causes issues. Foxes are definitely sneaky little bastards, they'll steal your bait, eat the mice, eat anything that can fit in their mouth really.
A question about updates, if I were to update and replace my files, would my Save and Secrets be kept?
The save/secrets files are stored outside the game folder (same location as other applications store their files). I tried to make the save files as robust as possible so updating won't break them.
Also I hope you are using itch application to update the game (90MB update vs. 6GB web full download)
Another thing I'd like to suggest if you could figure it out, is anyone with SteamVR downloaded, any game that uses Unreal Engine will automatically presume the game is VR-enabled unless you find where in the UE code is in the game and tell it that it is Not a VR game, every UE dev needs to manually turn off the option of it thinking its' a VR game so that SteamVR doesn't pop up every single time the game launches. You can't turn SteamVR off or it closes the game, it likely consumes resources by turning on even if not even being used.
If you could do that, that'd also be hugely appreciated.
After visiting the campsite and going to the lake my journal will not update, I am not sure what to do from here? And then I got stuck in the south cave and had to restart, there is a whole in the map in one of the corners :)
Oh no, I finally completed the game, but my footage was corrupted, which I found out after a long time editing haha. I will be uploading a vidio today or tommrow with some feedback, but it will not be my first reaction and it will be the extended gameplay. :)

Update is uploading.

Update is online btw.

Thanks for the info. I did not know it is enabled by default. I’ll check it out. You can use “-nohmd” startup parameter till next update.
Please let me know if the steamvr issue is fixed. Also make sure you have the latest update installed.
Im stuck at the factory, I did get inside, but the next door is closed, and no hint to progress
There are 2 important rooms inside the factory. If you find them you will probably know what to do next.
doors are locked once you enter.
You need to get further into factory but I don't want to spoil how. If you are still having difficulties to progress, message me on twitter.
what is your twitter?
@ushowmore
I don't know if it was intentional but every animal in this game was attacking me to the point even a bird was freaking me out.
Thank you for playing, I just watched it. If you get stuck in the story or run into some issues, feel free to contact me on twitter.
Will do buddy. I just need to find a way to get past that wolf at the campsite. Are there any weapons in this game or do I have to sneak around him?
there are lethal and non-lethal weapons in the game (also some secret weapons)
After visiting the campsite and going to the lake my journal will not update, I am not sure what to do from here? And then I got stuck in the south cave and had to restart, there is a whole in the map in one of the corners :)
Oh, and I can not seem to reequip the bear spray.
I don't wan to spoil the progress so soon, but if you are having difficulties in progressing further, feel free to DM me on twitter.
Hole is no more ;)
I have gotten much further, but I do not know how to reequip my weoapons?
Great. You can cycle the weapons/items in hand using scroll wheel on mouse or using D-Pad on controller.
