Works running with wine-9.15 staging for all the linux users out there. I got an error unzipping the file and had to use "UNZIP_DISABLE_ZIPBOMB_DETECTION=TRUE" when doing so. It's just a false positive. Performance however is very sluggish even with all low graphics settings, other comments suggest this too, it's unlikely a wine issue, and wine doesn't tend to impact performance on a game that significantly most of the time.
Tried playing the game, It almost made my pc blow up judging by how it sounded. For context, I have a RTX 40 series, and more than double the ram etc it says it requires. However as soon as I launched the game my temps went from 20 ish degrees celsius to 95 degrees celsius. My pc fans all went from 2,000 rpm to over 7k, and my system resources all went red with the game taking 98% of all resources. I restarted the pc, tried launching the game again, same thing. Uninstalled and reinstalled, same thing. There's some SERIOUS optimization problems, this game was trying to melt my pc even though what I have is overkill to play this. I even switched it to 60fps and changed the settings to try and help. And even at 1080, 60fps my pc still sounded like a rocket about to take off. As soon as I closed the game, back to having a normal pc.
I also run all my other games on ultra settings, getting 150-200+ fps, and even after hours playing, temps never go above 50 degrees celsius. So I'm not sure what is causing this game to run crazy
I was developing it on old gtx 1070ti and got around 55-60 fps on 1080p resolution without any problem.
Try to set frame limiter to 60 so your gpu won’t calculate unnecessary frames. Also Epic settings are mainly for cinematic purposes (creating video/screenshots). Game doesn’t push CPU too much so you should be able to play it also on mid/low tier cpu.
There is also performance guide which explains which setting influence the resulting visuals and it’s petformance cost…
Thank you for the reply, I did set it to 60fps though and my pc still sounded like it was trying out for Space Force or Elon Musk. My thermals jumped from 25-30 degrees celsius to 90+. And my fans were going from 2k rpm to 7k rpm. And the system resource monitor went nuts saying 98%+ was going to the game. My RTX 40 series went nuts trying to figure out what to do. I don't really know what the prob was. But it was trying to destroy a 13th gen processor with 16gb free ram and an RTX40+ gpu. And the instant I closed the game everything was fine, the second I loaded the game it went nuts again. Multiple times. So I'm kinda lost.

Why am i getting like 2 kbps download speed even though i have a pretty good connection? is it with itch.io? lol it shows 3 days remaining xd
